Fall Classes:
CodeBridge
Class Description:
Students will learn Scratch, a visual, block-based programming language, through stories, games, and animations while developing creativity, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills. They will also explore AI concepts and tools, building a foundation for future learning in Python, an essential programming language for technology and AI. Instruction will be provided by trained high school coding tutors under the guidance of an experienced instructor.
For Grades 4-5.
Math Tutoring
Class Description:
Math just got fun! In this tutoring class for 1st - 3rd graders, students strengthen their foundational skills, tackle problem-solving challenges, play engaging math games, and build confidence every step of the way. Small groups and friendly high school volunteers provide encouragement, support, and extra help—so every student can succeed and have a blast while learning!
(Note: In January 2027, students enrolled in the fall tutoring program will be offered the option to continue in the spring tutoring program, which runs from March 7 to June 13 2027.)'
For Grades 1-3.
Robotics with mBot2: AI Vision & Programming
Class Description:
Students in grades 6–8 will explore robotics, artificial intelligence, and programming by building and programming an mBot2 robot equipped with an AI Camera 2.0. Through hands-on challenges, students will learn how robots can use cameras to see, recognize, make decisions, and respond to their surroundings.
Using mBlock block-based programming, students will experiment with color, face, gesture, object, visual marker (AprilTag), and path recognition while developing skills in programming logic, coordinates, autonomous navigation, testing, and debugging. The course concludes with teams designing, building, and presenting their own AI-powered robotics project.
